You will be located within the Central Youth Work Team and will be based with the DISC Target Project, working part time, 3 hours per week. A Living Wage supplement will be applied up to the equivalent of £8.51 per hour, as appropriate.
You will have a minimum of two National 4s or equivalent one of which must be English.
You will assist young people to acquire the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to participate in groups and in the community and contribute positively to their development as adults.
You will have experience of working with young people, good organisational skills, be able to work as part of a team and motivate young people and be prepared to undertake training. You will be committed to ongoing personal development and to values and principles of Youth Work. You will be able to work evenings and weekends. This post is considered Regulate Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
