Based in Dundee West locality care and assessment team within older people's services, based at Jack Martin Way, Claverhouse Industrial Estate, you will work part time, 26 hours per week.
You will have CQSW, Diploma in SW, CSS (with appropriate option).
You will assist in maintaining vulnerable people in the community by providing a range of care management tasks. These include the assessment of individual need, the negotiation of flexible packages of care, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages.
You will have a working knowledge of assessing needs, experience and knowledge of social work values, an interest in working with older people and basic knowledge of community care. Good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to assess needs of older people, prioritise workloads, meet challenges and deadlines are also essential. You must be able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timescale. This post is considered regulated work with adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
