Based at Douglas Community Centre, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.
You will have a BA in Community Learning and Development or equivalent.
You will develop Community Learning opportunities which are responsive to local need and which lead to improved life chances through learning, personal development and active citizenship and developing stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential and inclusive communities.
You will have experience of developing community based CLD provision, partnership working, monitoring and evaluation, and a clear understanding of how the Code of Ethics should be applied to CLD practice. You will also have good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, work on your own initiative and have advocacy skills and the ability to motivate learners. You must be available to work evenings and weekends. A Basic Disclosure Scotland check is required.
