Based in the Community Safety Team, Community Safety Hub, West District Housing Office, Sinclair Street, working full time, 37 hours per week, Back Shift 14:40 to Midnight over a five week rota. This post is fixed term for three years. You may be required to work outwith normal duty times in the event of a civil emergency
You must have National 4 English, or equivalent qualification
You will contribute to the reduction of low level crime, antisocial behaviour and fear of crime in Dundee; this will include providing a high visibility reassuring presence on the street, school talks and inputs to sheltered housing and other areas of vulnerability. You may be required to attend work outwith normal duty hours to assist in civil emergency situations.
You will have an awareness of community safety issues and the ability to deal with challenging behaviour and situations. Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are also essential. You are also required to be open minded, fair, non judgemental and honest. A driving licence is essential and you must be fit enough to undertake street patrols. A Basic Disclosure Scotland check is required.
