Job Description

Based both at home and The Shore, you will work part time 18.5 hours or full time 37 hours per week on a temporary basis until 31 March 2023.

Requirements

You will have an HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject area, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

The Adult Employability Service supports people who are looking for work, with an emphasis on long-term unemployed/inactive, people aged 45+ and people living in the most employment deprived areas of Dundee, to address barriers to employment, and support them into sustainable employment. The team also deliver a specialist employability service for BAME and refugee communities.

This post is part funded by the European Social Fund. In line with the conditions of the ESF grant awarded to Dundee City Council, 100% of the post holder’s duties will be related to the ESF project the post is funded to deliver.

The Individual

You will work with people on a one to one basis, deliver workshops and training sessions in a range of employability related subjects, prepare clients for the world of work and match them with job opportunities.

You will have experience of working in a customer facing environment, experience of training or supporting individuals or groups and working knowledge of Microsoft office - including Word, Excel, Office 365.

You will have good communication skills - oral and written as well as planning and organisational skills.

You may be required to work irregular hours such as evenings and weekends
