Enforcement Officer

Job Description

Based at home and 5 City Square, you will work part time, 33.3 hours, average per week, working 9 days every two weeks, with a non-working day every second Monday.

Requirements

You will have an HNC in a relevant subject, or equivalent, or relevant experience in a regulatory or enforcement role.

Responsibilities

You will inspect, monitor and maintain the required standards of environmental compliance and where necessary, invoke the enforcement powers available with respect to domestic & trade waste, fly tipping, littering, the smoking prohibition.

The Individual

You will have experience in dealing with the public and business operators, particularly in potentially confrontational situations.

You will also be IT literate with the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, methodical and able to carry out investigative duties. The ability to work independently, using your own initiative, and as part of a team are also essential.

You require to hold a current driving licence and must be prepared to work outwith office hours when required.
