Based at Oakland Centre, you will work part time, 25 hours per week. A living wage supplement will be applied up to the equivalent of £8.51 per hour, as appropriate.
You will have 3 National 4s or equivalent.
You will undertake a variety of duties involved in residential establishments under the direction of the head of the establishment.
You should be able to undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks using a variety of tools. You will have the ability to carry out basic gardening work. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work on your own initiative are also essential. Previous experience in a handyperson’s role is desirable. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
