Working across Tayside, you will be contracted to work on average 2 days per month, for which a daily rate of £300 will be paid. In addition reasonable expenses will be reimbursed, including travel within the Tayside boundary. This is a temporary appointment for 12 months in the first instance.
You will have a sound understanding of public sector governance.
The Chair will provide strong strategic leadership, direction and scrutiny in delivering the MAPPA agenda and will ensure that the Strategic Oversight Group fulfils its statutory responsibilities and contributes to the safeguarding of the public at risk of harm from offenders across Tayside.
You will have substantial experience of working at an executive/strategic level in one of the core disciplines represented on the MAPPA SOG, with specific experience in one of the MAPPA SOG areas as outlined in national guidance. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of national developments in relation to MAPPA and its focus on risk management and current public protection policies, have a proven track record of significant leadership successes, evidence of commitment to partnership/collaborative working and effective presentation and report writing skills. You will also be able to travel within the authority and more widely as required. A Basic Disclosure Scotland Check is required.
