Based in 21 City Square, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.
You will be qualified to degree level and have a recognised certificate in an information management discipline or data protection or equivalent evidence of experience. You will have evidence of continuous professional development.
You will have responsibility for promoting and facilitating effective information risk practices across the organisation and developing organisational measures to improve the security of the Council's information assets.
You will have experience of working in a data protection, information compliance/security team of comparable scope, size and complexity and experience of working in information compliance/information security environment in a local authority. You will have experience of undertaking information risk audits and advising on information assurance and security issues and have detailed working knowledge of Data Protection Act and Privacy based legislation, including Data Protection Act 1998 and subsequent Statutory Instruments, including the upcoming GDPR, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, Lawful Business Practices Regulations and Court Cases You will require knowledge and understanding of Local Government processes and Dundee City Council Services. You will also be willing to undertake appropriate job-related training if appropriate.
