Requirements

You will have HND/SVQ4, or equivalent, in a relevant subject area or You will have significant work experience in a project/change management environment.

Responsibilities

You will work within a small team and be responsible for providing project support and IT system development support for Neighbourhood Services, Housing and Construction business areas, including business analysis, account management, system governance, ongoing developing of major IT systems, and liaison with user groups and stakeholders. You will ensure the strategic aims of the service are met, and support the transition to a more modern, agile and flexible service. You will ensure that the business information systems across the services are developed and supported to maximise effective use and achieve identified business aims. You will work collaboratively with lead officers from management, business, administration, third parties and other stakeholders to effectively develop, co-ordinate and implement solutions across a range of internal and external services.

The Individual

You will have experience in translating business process requirements into workflow and data reporting solutions, along with experience of analysing business processes, gathering information and working collaboratively to develop business solutions. You will have knowledge of the range and variety of business processes within a local authority organisation and demonstrable experience of administrating and supporting a large information system for business/service use. Excellent oral/written communication skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Excel are also essential. You will have the ability to work with staff at all levels to develop solutions to complex problems, the ability to use and create information using reporting software, eg SSRS reports, Power BI, the ability to communicate with and prepare communication for staff at all levels within the organisation including staff within partner agencies, and the ability to work to deadlines is also essential. You will have the ability to work flexibly when required.
