Job Description

Based in Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week for a fixed term of one year.

The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 30. Requirements

You will have 3 National 4s, to include English and/or Maths, or equivalent or relevant Foundation Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Assist with the day to day administrative functions by maintaining a timely and accurate process of receiving, sorting and distribution of incoming postal mail, electronic mail and the sorting, franking and dispatch of all outgoing mail for the Council. The team is also responsible for ensuring the Benefit Delivery Team undelivered mail is investigated and reissued where appropriate and undelivered mail for other Council departments is passed on timeously for further investigation.

The Individual

You will have experience of using computers and windows based software applications.

You will have good numeracy and problem solving skills and be accurate with an attention to details.

You will have good communication skills and have the ability to prioritise work.

You will be able to work as part of a team.

You will have commitment and ability to achieve the full Modern Apprenticeship and to achieving SVQ L2 in Business & Administration @ scqf level 5.
