Job Description

Based at Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week. The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee area. Funding for this post is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19, or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 30, who live within the Dundee City boundary, and who are Not in Employment, Education or Training prior to appointment. In this post you will learn and gain a basic understanding of what Council Advice Services provide and how this impacts on alleviating poverty in Dundee. Requirements

You will have a minimum of 1 National 5 in English at A-C grade and 3 National 4 qualifications or A Foundation Apprenticeship in a relevant area or equivalent.

Responsibilities

You will provide an efficient, effective and high-level clerical and admin support to both the public and Council Advice Services. To provide this as part of an effective team. You will deal with enquiries in relation to a wide range of Council Services through face to face, telephone and email contacts.

The Individual

You will have good IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, good communication skills, both written and verbal and analytical skills. You will have the ability to organise your own workload, use own initiative, work as part of a team and understand the importance of confidentiality. You will have the commitment and ability to achieve the full Modern Apprenticeship and to achieving SVQ L3 in Business & Administration @ scqf level 6.
