Job Description

Based in the East District Office you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a fixed term for 18 months. The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants under the age of 30. Requirements

You will have 3 National 4s, or equivalent including English and Maths.

Responsibilities

To learn and work alongside the Tenancy and Estates Team to deliver a comprehensive, flexible front line Housing service to Dundee City Council tenants. To also experience different service areas within the Housing Service including; Housing Options and Lettings and Housing Asset Management. Provide a comprehensive support service to the Housing Teams by assisting in the delivery of services to tenants, residents, customers, and their representatives; work in partnership with internal and external agencies on all functions delivered by the Neighbourhood Services Housing Team, and in particular, those related specifically to all Tenancy Management, Estate Management and Tenancy Sustainment issues.

The Individual

You will have experience of using computerised systems for example Microsoft Office and a genuine interest in the Housing field of work. You will have the ability to work within a team. You will have keyboard skills and good organisational skills and ability to work on own initiative when required. You will also have good time management and prioritisation skills as well as good oral and written communication skills with an attention to detail. You will have the ability to work in a busy environment with regular interruptions and be adaptable to change. You will be committed and have the ability to completing full Modern Apprenticeship and to achieving SVQ 2 Housing @ scqf level 6 and CIH Housing Practice @ scqf level 5. A Basic Disclosure Scotland check is required.
