Based in the Community Safety Hub, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, helping to ensure the Council fully complies with its duties under civil contingencies legislation and improve the ability of the Council and the City of Dundee to prepare for and recover from disruptive events
You will be educated to HND, or equivalent.
You will ensure the Council complies with its statutory duties as defined within Civil Contingencies and related legislation.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of the role of Local Authorities in Emergency Planning and Response, excellent management, organisational, oral communication, written, listening and decision making skills. You will also have excellent crisis management, evaluation, analytical, problem solving, hazard and risk analysis skills. Good keyboard, presentation and facilitation skills are also required, along with experience of Microsoft Office packages and of resilience and civil contingencies functions. You will be willing to work outwith normal office hours and have a full current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
