Based at Mitchell Street you will work part-time 18.5 hours per week, temporary until 31 March 2020.
You will have a professional qualification – BA in Community Learning and Development, or equivalent.
To lead the development and delivery of Community learning opportunities with the focus on improved life chances, through learning, personal development and active citizenship and developing stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential and inclusive communities. Working in partnership with relevant agencies and communities to deliver on strategic objectives, aimed at reducing inequality and addressing need.
You will have substantial post qualifying experience and experience of staff management, leading a team and of partnership working. You will have an understanding and experience of implementing local and national policies, and assessing learners/community needs. You must provide evidence of implementing self-evaluation, improvement planning and promoting the positive impact of CLD. You will possess good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to demonstrate a commitment to the value and ethics of CLD. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
