Job Description

Based at Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have a relevant professional qualification, be a member of an appropriate professional body and have evidence of continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

You will lead the Council’s Waterfront and major project strategy and development activity, co-ordinating investment with Economic Development aims and objectives. Working with Council staff and external stakeholders to create opportunities to deliver commercial investment on behalf of the CouncilContribute to decision making and to the formulation and delivery of strategy and change at service level. Support Elected Members as required. You will provide leadership for the effective delivery of all allocated functions, developing strategy, providing support and inspiration, and managing performance so that the Service is positioned to respond appropriately to changes required.You will have excellent written communication skills, the ability to produce reports on complex issues and have clear analytical skills to allow the exploration, evaluation and interpretation of information and opinions.You will be highly motivated with the ability to motivate specialist team to achieve high standards of performance and have a successful record of engaging effectively with others, building productive working relationships, including high profile stakeholder, statutory authorities and private sector.

The Individual

You will have a proven record of strategic management and planning and of project management of major projects. You will have a knowledge of the legislative framework, the Scottish Government and national agenda to ensure the Council meets its commitments.You will be able to demonstrate success in change management and changing cultures in a way that has successfully improved services and modernised ways of working.You will have a proven record of successful partnership and collaborative working with a range of public bodies, private and third sector.
