Requirements
You will have a degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW, CSS (with appropriate option).
Responsibilities
As Service Leader you will provide strategic and operational leadership of the Dundee Community Justice Partnership portfolio, Community Justice Social Work services, care leavers support services and youth justice whole systems approach to ensure services are delivered in accordance with legislation, Council policy, professional imperatives and the requirements of the SSSC, Care Inspectorate, HMI and other inspection agencies.
The Individual
You will have experience of Children’s Services management in a relevant field, leadership in a multi-agency environment, preparing and implementing strategic plans, managing resources in accordance with best value, developing or acting on performance systems.
You will have the experience of managing significant multi-agency change, staff support and development, performance improvement, work within relevant legislative frameworks, work within relevant best practice framework, strategic commissioning and contract management, deploying staff in accordance with needs and demands, and experience of developing multi-agency teams.
You will have excellent verbal and written report writing skills, negotiation, communication and influencing, management of self and other staff, including prioritisation, risk assessment and decision making skills and understanding of national policy drivers.
You will be prepared to work hours according to operational needs, to make and receive telephone calls at home.
You will maintain professional registration with the SSSC or other relevant body.
