Drummond House offers residential support to Looked After Young People.
You will work part time, 35 hours per week, over a two week rota, including weekends, with an enhancement.

You will have 3 National 4s, or equivalent and will have the ability to undertake HNC and SVQ3 or any other relevant qualification which provides evidence of academic achievement equivalent to or above SCQF Level 7.
You will assist in the creation and maintenance of a high-quality care environment in which children and young people are assured of safety and security. You will care for children and young people during night shift hours as specified.
You will have experience and understanding of working collaboratively with children and young people and their families and carers. You will have understanding the emotional practical & social care needs of young people. You will understand young people’s needs, the issues affecting them as individuals and the issues affecting them in a group living setting. You will be committed to high standards of care for children & young people. You will be able to undertake CALM procedures.
You will have effective communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be self-motivated and self-reliant. You will have experience of working effectively in a team.
You will have ability to undertake Moving & Handling procedures.
You will have ability to work permanent night shift and ability to work up to 31 weekends.
You will have the ability to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified time.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
