Based at Ninewells Hospital, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, temporary for one year.
You will have 60 relevant credit points towards first year of social work degree (one of HNC in Social Care or Social Sciences, K100, K101 or DD100).
You will provide supervisory and support services and carry a caseload of appropriate cases. You will work alongside and under the direction of a senior or professionally qualified worker to carry out specific tasks.
You will have experience of working with the relevant service user group and an understanding of issues affecting the relevant service group.
You should have good oral and written communication skills, good planning and organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
You must be able to work flexibly between 8am - 8pm.
These posts are considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
You must have the ability to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within specified timescales.
