Job Description
Based at Seymour House, you will work part-time, 18 hours per week.
Requirements
You will have 60 relevant credit points towards first year of social work degree eg K101, K100, DD100, HNC in Social Care.
Responsibilities
To provide a support service to the Social Workers and Co-Ordinator in receiving, assessing and responding to all calls to the Children and Families Service outwith normal working hours for Dundee City and Angus Council.
The Individual
You will have experience of working with the relevant service user groups and an understanding of issues affecting the relevant service group.
You will have good oral and written communication skills, have the ability to contribute to team working and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
You must be able to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and night time working. You will have the ability to register with the SSSC within a specified timescale.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
