You must hold a UKCC Level 1 Swimming Teaching Qualification and a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.


You will assist with the planning and organisation in all aspects of Aquatics Programmes, and will ensure that all administration for classes is kept up to date for monitoring and evaluation purposes. You will be required to follow Health and Safety guidelines, Safe Systems of Work and complete Daily Checklists as part of your duties.

The Individual

You will have experience of planning structured activity/sports sessions, as well as excellent communication skills to work within a team and have the ability to organise sessions and time effectively. You will be approachable, reliable, and have the ability to motivate others. The ability to work flexible hours and a willingness to undertake training opportunities for purposes of both personal and service development are essential for this post. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Leisure & Culture Dundee.
