Based at one of the schools you will work full time, 37 hours per week on a temporary basis until June 2025.

Requirements

You will have a basic Secondary Education, a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and an Amateur Swimming Association - Teachers Certificate/UKCC Level 1 or 2.

Responsibilities

You will maintain the cleanliness of the water and pool area at the base school and any other school as part of the evening rota or covering for absence. To provide lifeguard cover at the base school and assist the teaching staff with swimming instruction.

The Individual

You will have experience of working with children and have good communication skills and a flexible attitude. You must be willing to undertake training to gain a Pool Plant Operators qualification within one year of appointment.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
