Job Description

Based in a Primary or Secondary School and Accessibility and Inclusion Service in Dundee (including transition from early years), you will work full time or part time, on a temporary or permanent basis. The advertised salary is for full time hours, you will be paid pro rata for part time hours. Please indicate on the application form which post(s) you are applying for.

Requirements

You will be GTCS Registered (Primary, Secondary, ASN ) in August 2022, have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and an awareness of main current issues in Scottish education.

Applications will be accepted from teachers who are currently provisionally registered with the GTCS and who expect to gain full registration at the end of this current session.

For Roman Catholic schools you will require approval as regards religious belief and character by representatives of the church or denominational body in whose interest the school has been conducted.

Responsibilities

You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils with additional support needs and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.

The Individual

You will have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas, awareness of main current issues in Scottish education, awareness of current ASN developments, evidence of appropriate Professional Learning relating to ASN and be able to demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
