Based at Seymour House, 274 Clepington Road, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.
You will have a Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, CSS (with appropriate option).
You will manage the operations of the Multi Agency Screening Hub (MASH), working closely with external partner agencies. You will oversee the performance of the MASH, ensuring that a safe, efficient and effective response is provided to children and families where there are care and welfare concerns. You will also contribute to the development of the MASH improvement plan, including taking a lead role in the implementation of agreed actions.
You will have evidence of continuing professional development, a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the main issues and influences affecting the services working within MASH, including good leadership and effective people management, excellent customer service, continual improvement using an evidence-based approach, risk management and change management. Extensive experience of service delivery, including resource planning, performance management and effective and efficient delivery in a multi agency context is also required. You will be able to assess, manage and prioritise risk, meet agreed service objectives and delivery targets through the organisation and deployment of available resources. You must have a high level of personal drive and integrity, and an understanding of how personal leadership style impacts on service outcomes. You will understand multi-agency dynamics and be able to work effectively with senior staff. You will have strong interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences. You will be able to occasionally work in the evening and/or be contactable at home, and to travel efficiently in the course of your duties. You must be able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified timescale. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
