Based at 5 City Square you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Dundee City Council is committed to supporting youth employment through its employability agenda and are seeking to offer unemployed or underemployed graduates the opportunity to gain experience on a temporary basis for 12 months.

This graduate work experience opportunity is focused to target unemployment in the Dundee area and only available for candidates aged 24 and under. Requirements

You will be educated to Degree Level in a relevant subject and have graduated within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

You will undertake a 12-month work experience placement to support identifying and implementing strategic & operational improvements and to undertake project work on a range of environmental services within the Environmental Strategy section of Neighbourhood Services (Environment), including recycling initiatives, commercial waste activities, statutory returns and data work and promotional and educational activities.

The Individual

You will have knowledge/understanding of analysis with an ability to interpret and present data accordingly.

You will have IT skills, including experience of Microsoft packages. You will also have excellent organisational and communication skills. You will be flexible and have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
