Job Description

Based at 21 City Square you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Dundee City Council is committed to supporting youth employment through its employability agenda and are seeking to offer unemployed or underemployed graduates the opportunity to gain experience on a temporary basis for 12 months.

This graduate work experience opportunity is focused to target unemployment in the Dundee area and only available for candidates aged 24 and under. Please ensure if you are applying for a graduate work experience opportunity that you are aged 24 and under and have graduated within the last 3 years. You must also have a Dundee address. You will be asked to bring proof of age and address with you if you are invited for an interview.

Requirements

You will be educated to a degree level in communications, marketing or other relevant subject and have graduated within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

You will undertake a 12-month work experience placement to support the Communications and Protecting People teams in the creation and delivery of effective digital assets and resources. You will gain useful work experience to greater enhance employment opportunities related to degree studies.

The Individual

You will have experience of working collaboratively on team projects as well as experience in creating web and social media content.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively through a variety of methods and the ability to deliver content across a range of digital and social media platforms. You will have experience of Microsoft packages along with video filming and image editing skills.

You will be flexible, proactive and creative and have the ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
