Job Description

Based in Dundee House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Dundee City Council is committed to supporting youth employment through its employability agenda and are seeking to offer unemployed or underemployed graduates the opportunity to gain experience on a temporary basis for 12 months.

This graduate work experience opportunity is focused to target unemployment in the Dundee area and only available for candidates aged 24 and under. Requirements

You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and will have graduated within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

You will undertake a 12 month work experience placement to support the CRMC with development and implementation of a formal risk assurance model and further project work across the wider Internal Audit, Corporate Fraud and Risk Service.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to assist with maintaining formal corporate and service level risk management arrangements that are aligned to good practice, including the ongoing review and implementation of the Council’s risk management policy, procedures and monitoring framework.

You will also assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of the Council’s corporate and service level risk registers as well as raising awareness of risk management in general throughout the organisation.

The Individual

You will have strong IT skills including Excel and Word as well as good written and verbal communication skills. You will be good at problem solving.

You will be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable to change as well as have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. You will also have the ability to form good working relationships.

A Standard Disclosure Scotland check is required.
