Job Description
Based in Discover Opportunities at Crichton Street, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.
Dundee City Council is committed to supporting youth employment through its employability agenda and are seeking to offer unemployed or underemployed graduates the opportunity to gain experience on a temporary basis for 12 months.
This graduate work experience opportunity is focused to target unemployment in the Dundee area and only available for candidates aged 24 and under. Please ensure if you are applying for a graduate work experience opportunity that you are aged 24 and under and have graduated within the last 3 years. You must also have a Dundee address. Requirements
You will be educated to degree level in communications, marketing or other relevant subject and have graduated within the last 3 years.
Responsibilities
You will undertake a 12-month work experience placement to develop a co-ordinated approach to promoting and marketing Dundee City Council employability opportunities for young people to develop our young workforce as part of our commitment to Dundee’s Young Person’s Guarantee.
The Individual
You will have experience of working collaboratively or on team assignments / projects.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively and deliver content across a range of digital and social media platforms. You will also have IT skills, including experience of Microsoft packages.
You will be flexible, proactive and creative and have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
