Engage proactively and positively with children, young people and adults within East Ayrshire Leisure Sport and Fitness to facilitate their personal, social and physical development through the provision of a range of physical activities and in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of East Ayrshire Leisure’s Business Plan.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR INTERVIEW, CANDIDATES MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY MEET ALL ESSENTIAL CRITERIA OF THE ATTACHED JOB SPECIFICATION.
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Leisure. Please note:- PVG members' records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. Any information that is disclosed on a PVG Scheme Record or Scheme Record Update, if relevant to the post being applied for, will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
Rate of Pay
Rate of Pay - £10.34 per hour.
This is a bank register post and hours will be offered on an "as and when" basis.
You may be required to work at various venues throughout East Ayrshire including the new Barony Sports Complex, Cumnock.
You may be required to work evenings and weekends.
Facilitate the organisation, preparation and delivery of a range of planned sports physical activities for children, young people and adults.
Provide direct instruction and supervise a range of sport and physical activities attended by children, young people and adults participating in East Ayrshire Leisure’s planned programmes.
Work as part of a team which plans, coordinates and implements a programme of sport and physical activities designed to engage and meet the needs of a wide range of community based participants and facility users in order to increase attendance and performance targets as agreed in the Sport and Fitness Team Plan.
Assist in the promotion of the personal and social development activities provided by the Sports and Fitness Team
