Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Business Support Officer, the post holder will manage a team of Business Support staff and will develop, monitor and oversee the implementation of NHS Ayrshire and Arran and East Ayrshire Council policies and procedures across East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership. The post holder will liaise with Senior and Service Managers for specific operational services in order to co-ordinate and support the provision and delivery of administrative support to meet local and national strategies and targets. The post holder will co-ordinate and manage the administration of the first point of contact for specific service areas and will assist in the continuous development of administrative processes and procedures that support referrals and contacts with the service. The post holder will maintain a high standard of professional practice, and demonstrate a committed and flexible approach across the work environment. Work is guided by standard operating procedures, protocols or systems of work. The post holder makes judgements, plans activities for themselves and the Business Support Administration service. The post holder will ensure that all electronic systems and processes are maintained to ensure a smooth transition of referrals to appropriate services / teams.

 

Requirements

The duties of this post requires access to the public sector network and therefore the successful applicant must complete a basic Disclosure Scotland application.  A formal offer of employment with East Ayrshire Council will only be made once satisfactory clearance has been received.  Any information that is disclosed on a basic disclosure will require to be discussed before a formal offer of employment is made.

Additional Information

This is a full time, permanent post based within Business Support,  Justice Service Team.

Work Pattern - Mon-Thur -9am-5pm, Fri-9am-4pm

The workstyle for this post ‘Flexible’ - 50-79% of time is office based.  Able to work at different/ multiple work    locations.  Occasionally works at home, or another location 1-2 days per week, or directly home to external appointments.

The admin base for this post is The Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock. 

Annual Salary - £26,900 - £29,156
