Solicitor - Litigation & Advice

Job purpose

Represent the Council in all litigation matters and provide legal advice and support to all Committees and to Service Units of the Council in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Governance Services Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements

We follow the national guidance in relation to pre-employment checks namely “Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment”. Additional Information

This is a permanent full time post. The admin base for this post is Council Headquarters, London Road. Kilmarnock.

Hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday - Thursday & 9am-4pm Friday.

Annual Salary - £39,021 - £47,627 and you will be placed dependent upon your experience.

The workstyle for both posts is Flexible - 50-79% of time is office based. Able to work at different/ multiple work locations. Occasionally works at home, or another location 1-2 days per week, or directly home to external appointments.
