Job Purpose

Engage proactively and positively with children, young people and adults within East Ayrshire Leisure Sport and Community Venues to facilitate their personal, social and physical development through the provision of a range of physical activities and in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of East Ayrshire Leisure’s Business Plan.

Additional Information

East Ayrshire Leisure are looking to recruit an experienced, motivated and committed Gymnastics Coach to plan, implement and lead a gymnastics based, Balance and Movement programme as part of East Ayrshire Leisure wider sports coaching programme. Successful candidates will share our passion and vision for the development of gymnastics and will be required to demonstrate a proven record of successful working with people and coaching programmes, together with excellent leadership, planning, delivery and communication skills to deliver on our organisational objectives. Delivery of a 10 session coaching block which will be delivered over a 12 week period due to public and school holidays. The interview process will also include the candidate preparing a 10 minute practical balance and movement based coaching session.

Rate of Pay

Rate of Pay = £9.24 per hour Hours of Work: Monday: 5.15pm - 7.00pm Tuesday: 3.45pm - 7.00pm Thursday: 4.45pm - 6.30pm Friday: 3.15pm - 7.00pm

Responsibilities

Facilitate the organisation, preparation and delivery of a range of planned sports physical activities for children, young people and adults. Provide direct instruction and supervise a range of sport and physical activities attended by children, young people and adults participating in East Ayrshire Leisure’s planned programmes. Work as part of a team which plans, coordinates and implements a programme of sport and physical activities designed to engage and meet the needs of a wide range of community based participants as well as facility users. Assist in the promotion of the personal and social development activities provided by the Sport and Community Venues Team.
