Musselburgh Grammar School is a vibrant and ambitious secondary, serving the town of Musselburgh and the nearby village of Whitecraig. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, strategic  and people centred Business Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate should have extensive experience of financial management and human resource management and a proven track record of line managing staff teams effectively whilst co-ordinating school operations, systems and processes to deliver a high quality support service for all stakeholders.  The ability to plan strategically and accountability in the context of statutory, council and school policy will be tested at interview.

Job Details

As a member of the School Senior Management Team, the School Business Manager responsible for all support services within the school and for the administrative and management support services element of the School Development Plan.

The role of the School Business Manager is to provide advice and management information to the School Management Team and Director of Resources and People Services. Will also have responsibility for ensuring full compliance with corporate financial and HR policies, supporting and promoting the Council’s core financial values of accountability and value for money.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent in the area of business management.
