Knox Academy is a comprehensive school situated in Haddington, East Lothian, Scotland.  At census 2021 the roll was 793.  Our school values are Ambition, Respect and Community and we work through these values to ensure all pupils feel included and valued.  We aim to support all our young people to strive to reach their potential and leave to a positive and sustained destination.  We aim to be the best we can, in all that we do for our young people and to give them a high quality educational experience.

An opportunity has arisen for a school Business Administrator to assist with the administrative function at Knox Academy which encompasses a wide variety of tasks and a high standard of customer service for all our school community and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a member of a dynamic team and must be enthusiastic and energetic. The Business Support Administrator will provide operational support to all staff, but particularly the School Business Manager, with the main focus on the operation of the the school fund. 

Applications from experienced administrators who can demonstrate they are confident using spreadsheets to track financial transactions and with some HR or school experience would be welcomed.  If you are well organised and can multi-task whilst being able to organise others; feel you are capable of using your initiative under pressure to meet deadlines and can deal with people on all levels this varied role offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a small team and school community.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Administration or Information Management or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
