Hourly Rate of Pay £12.77 - 13.75 - Grade 6 - unqualified
Hourly Rate of Pay £14.33 - 15.66 - Grade 7 - qualified

Job Details

To deliver high quality Day Services which meet the assessed needs of individual service users, promoting independence and enhancing East Lothian’s role as a provider of learning disability day services, in accordance with the values and principles of the National Care Standards, and within the policies and procedures of the Council.

Relevant Qualifications

Essential for Qualified Post:  HNC in Social Care and SVQ3 or equivalent and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience. 

Essential for Unqualified Post:  General standard of education e.g. SVQ Level 2/Highers (including English) and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience. 

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
