Job Details

The Education Support Officer (ESO) will work across the local authority, as part of the ELW team, to develop and implement Literacy, Numeracy and family engagement opportunities for both adults and youths. The post holder will contribute to the progression, development and delivery of provision with schools, parents, key partners and stakeholders. The post holder will construct authority policies, quality assurance procedures, relevant training and curriculum development. The ESO will be responsible for developing impactful interventions for youths, adults and families. In work poverty, upskilling, retraining and locality support are a priorities under ‘No One Left Behind and the ‘Parental Employability Support Fund’. The ESO will look to develop best practice and opportunities for partnerships development, to achieve the best possible outcomes for families in East Lothian.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Full registration with GTCS.
Evidence of continuing professional development and lifelong learning.

Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*
