Job Details

To undertake and complete the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland’s Scheme of Professional Practice to allow presentation for the Diploma in Environmental Health.

To contribute to the provision and development of an effective professional Environmental Health Service for the purposes of protecting the public from risks to their health, safety and wellbeing. This will involve delivery of Environmental Health Services in the areas of work as detailed below:-

Food & Safety, including Food Safety/Standards, Health and Safety, Animal Health and Welfare, Plans and Licensing, Smoking Ban Enforcement, Private Water Supplies.

Environmental Protection, including Public Health, Pollution Control, Pest Control and Contaminated Land.
To contribute to service delivery within other areas of the Council which correspond to the REHIS training Scheme syllabus.
