The East Lothian Council Instrumental Music Service provides a service for all primary and secondary schools in East Lothian. A 7 hours a week vacancy has recently arisen to teach piano in the Prestonpans and Haddington cluster. A mutually convenient day for the instruction to take place can be arranged between the successful candidate and the IMS Team Manager following interview.
The post involves taking over a well established piano timetable in Preston Lodge High School and developing the existing provision in Knox Academy. The successful candidate will be working as part of a progressive, dynamic and supportive instrumental instruction team.

To teach pupils individually or in groups to play a musical instrument, develop musical literacy, aural awareness and promote interest in music making, through group playing to enrich school, authority and community identity.
