We are looking to recruit to our IT Infrastructure & Security Team. Do you have a passion for Information/Cyber Security? Would you like to learn more? While some of your time will be spent on day to day administration of our enterprise class server and storage infrastructure, we are looking for someone who also has a keen interest in security and an enthusiasm for personal and professional growth in this area. You will get the opportunity to be involved in monitoring our infrastructure for security issues, help us to trace, record and assess any security vulnerabilities, issues or breaches.
You will also be part of the team delivering security awareness to our employee base.
You should possess strong written communication and interpersonal skills, along with a natural curiosity and a desire to explore new approaches.
Other duties of the role will include providing general ICT support to the Council's corporate and school users as required alongside the rest of the team.
You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft server technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure and Google technologies would be beneficial.
It is expected that the job holder will be based at home but will carry out ICT support within a number of East Lothian Schools.

To work as a member of the IT Infrastructure & Security team with a primary focus on providing IT support to all Council staff to help bring about Council Wide digital transformation.

Relevant HNC and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
