The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week).  Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay:  £14.33-£15.66 

This is a 52 week non-sessional post i.e. it will include working during the school holidays

St Marys RC Primary School is a small Catholic School based in Haddington with a school role of 113 at present. We are in a joint campus which we share with Haddington Primary School. There are 5 Primary School classes as well as our large vibrant nursery with a fun outdoor space.

To work as an effective member of an early years team delivering a high quality child centred service which meets the needs of children and their families.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
You must be educated to HNC level in Early Education and Childcare or hold SNNB/HNC/SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be able to evidence additional learning and knowledge of current practice and legislation in relation to Early Learning and Childcare.

SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups are required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
