The salary advertised is full time (37 hours per week). The salary for part time posts (less than 37 hours per week) will be pro-rated accordingly.
8 positions available as follows:
6 full time day shift positions of 37 hours per week:
Four days per week (4 x 9.25 hr shifts) from a 7-day week rotating over a 3-weekly rolling rota cycle covering sleep-overs and weekends.
1 part time day shift position of 18.5 hours per week:
Two days per week (2 x 9.25 hr shifts) from a 7-day week rotating over a 3-weekly rolling rota cycle covering sleep-overs and weekends.
1 part time night shift position of 18.5 hours per week:
Two nights per week (2 x 9.25 hr shifts) from a 7-day week rotating over a 3-weekly rolling rota cycle.

East Lothian Children’s Services have an exciting and rare opportunity for Residential Childcare Support Workers to join Lothian Villa. There are a number of positions with a variety of hours available.
Lothian Villa consists of two residential houses and deliver a high standard of child centred, trauma informed care for looked after and accommodated children and young people. Applicants should have a sound value base, excellent communication skills and a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the issues that can affect the lives of young people. Applicants should be highly motivated and love working with young people. They should hold high aspirations for young people and be ready to work as part of a team to ensure they are equipped to meet their potential. Candidates should work well under pressure and be able to demonstrate how they would prioritise their own resilience and wellbeing in this rewarding but often challenging working environment.

Essential: HNC Social Services & SVQ3 in Social Care, or working towards, Promoting Independence or Working with Children and Young People or equivalent and able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
