Vacancy Information

It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale.  The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week).  Part-time posts will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £10.18-£11.08

Post 1 - 35 hours per week, permanent
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday 09.00 - 17.00 & Friday 09.00 - 16.00
Start date to be confirmed

Post 2 - 17 hours 30 minutes  per week, permanent
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday 09.00 - 12.30
Start date to be confirmed

Post 3 - 35 hours per week, temporary secondment cover for 12 months
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday 09.00 - 17.00 & Friday 09.00 - 16.00

An opportunity has arisen for 3 Senior Business Support Assistants to join our Council Support team located at Penston House, Macmerry. We are looking for  enthusiastic and experienced administrators, to assist with an range of administrative activities.   

Good communication and numeracy skills are required and you should be able to establish good working relationships with all levels of staff and have proven organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise your workload and use your own initiative.  You will have a commitment to delivering a high quality of customer service. A high level of flexibility is required as duties may change as the needs of the team changes.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
