Vacancy Information

It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale.  

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).  Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.

Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday (hours to be arranged with successful candidate)
This is a 39 week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days

Preston Tower Primary is large friendly school with around 900 pupils, split over 2 campuses.  West Loan campus is for nursery, P1 – P3 pupils and the Preston Road campus is for P4-7 pupils.  The successful applicant will need to work over both campuses.  We have a new head teacher who started in August and he is supported by two 2 Depute Head Teachers and one Principal Teacher at each campus.

Job Details

To provide administrative, clerical, reception and information support to the school through a range of tasks carried out within well-defined regulations.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
