It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale.
12 positions available as follows:
8 positions available: 4 @ 21 hours per week (3 days) and 4 @ 28 hours per week (4 days)
Posts will follow a 2 week rolling rota combined of early shifts (07.00-14.30) and late shifts (14.00-21.30) with a 30 minute unpaid break. One weekend one weekend off.
4 positions available: 1 @ 10 hours per week (1 night) and 3 @ 20 hours per week (2 nights)
4 week rota for the 10 hour post: Wk 1 - Mon, Wk 2 - Wed, Wk 3 - Wed, Wk 4 - Sun
The rota for the 20 hour posts will be discussed with those applicants invited to interview.
Nightshift hours are 21.00-07.00.
Must have an understanding of dementia and the elderly.

Dayshift posts - 3rd and 4th February

Educated to SVQ Level 2 in Social Care (or equivalent) or a willingness to achieve the SVQ Level 2 in the first period of registration to meet the SSSC registration requirements.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
