We have an exciting permanent opportunity to join our corporate accountancy team, monitoring and accounting for the Council’s varied capital projects and assisting with corporate finance and treasury tasks. 

You will be a fully qualified accountant with strong analytical, IT and communication skills and an awareness of current local government finance issues. You should have proven experience of building positive relationships with customers and must be able to work with minimum supervision.

Ideally the successful post holder will also have experience of local government capital accounting and improving services through business change, but these are not essential.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
