We’re looking for an experienced Senior ICT Technician to join our busy ICT Service Desk. By supervising and monitoring this function, you will ensure a fast, efficient and responsive support service is maintained by the achievement of all targets as defined by SLA’s and through the constant review of procedures and processes, identifying and managing service improvements. You will provide guidance to staff and act as an escalation for complex/problem calls as well as managing our Major Incident process. You will also conduct valuable research into emerging technologies and their applicability to the Council.
With a proven track record in managing service desks, you will drive the team and instil a customer culture that over delivers. You’ll need to be highly organised and analytical with keen attention to detail, combined with a positive attitude and the ability to present ideas in a business-friendly way. You will also need to have a commercial awareness that understands the “cost” of business related ICT problems.
Your technical skills will include: extensive knowledge of Windows Operating systems, extensive end-point troubleshooting skills; experience of scripting and managing unattended installations using tools such as Altiris or SCCM. Experience of managing Mobile Device Management solutions would be an advantage.
