Falkirk Council is currently looking for an enthusiastic caring and skilled Service Manager to be part of the team currently working in Falkirk to transform services for Children and their Families. The post is initially funded temporarily supported by the Councils transformational change programme Council of the Future.

You will be responsible for the performance management and quality assurance of specific operational services and in addition, key projects identified within the Closer to Home Strategy with a focus on prevention and relationship-based practice to support children safely within their communities.

As Service Manager you will be expected to work closely with key partners to effectively lead, manage, develop and promote services.  Reporting directly to the Senior Manager for Children & Families, you will provide positive and strong value-based leadership to empower practitioners to create a positive and lasting difference for our children/young people and their families.

You will work with the Senior Manager in the setting of standards and performance improvements for children, young people and their families. You will have a proven record of effective partnership working and leading change in a complex public sector environment.

Essential Qualifications: a CQSW, Dip SW, or Social Work degree.

Desirable Qualification: Management Qualification or equivalent.

The post is temporary up to 31 March 2023 covering a Temporary Project.
