Falkirk Council is currently looking for an enthusiastic caring and skilled Service Manager to be part of the team currently working in Falkirk to transform services for Children and their Families. The post is funded temporarily for a period of twelve months to cover a period of secondment.

You will have strategic responsibility for our commitment to Keep the Promise (including Corporate Parenting). In addition, you will have oversight of our children with additional support needs service, review coordinators and continuous improvement work. You will also support us with our Closer to Home Strategy focusing on prevention and relationship-based practice to support children safely within their communities.

As Service Manager you will be expected to work closely with key partners to effectively lead, manage, develop and promote services.  Reporting directly to the Senior Manager for Children and Families, you will provide positive and strong value-based leadership to empower practitioners to create a positive and lasting difference for our children, young people and their families.

You will work with the Senior Service Manager in the setting of standardsand performance improvements for children, young people and their families. You will have a proven record of effect partnership working and leading change in a complex public sector environment.

Essential Qualifications: a CQSW, Dip SW, or Social Work degree.

Desirable Qualification: Management Qualification or equivalent.

The post is temporary up to 31 May 2024.
