Job Description

Contract Type: Temporary until 31 December 2018

Working Pattern: Shift working 5 days on, 3 days off 6am - 2.30pm and 2pm - 10.30pm daily

Responsibility for the Operation of the Mobile Emergency Care Service/Nightlink Service and Community Alarm team Fife Wide and the co-ordination and delivery of both an Emergency Response Team and planned Nightlink Service, and Community Alarm provision.

Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.

 

Requirements

Educated to SCQF level 6, which includes Highers or SVQ level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care. 

You will be required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and meet qualification requirements commensurate with this requirement (Workers new to role must gain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within six months of start date in this role).

The Team and Post Holder cover 7 days per week on a rotating shift basis

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland.

Responsibilities

Demonstrating strong and effective leadership skills and a professional approach, which promotes quality standards and best practice within the Mobile Emergency Care Service/Nightlink Team/Community Alarm Team.

The Individual

Significant experience in Health and Social Care or similar environment is required.

Effective interpersonal, organisational, and customer service skills.

Ability to work on your own and as part of a Team.
