You will ensure that passengers, who will typically be elderly and/or disabled members of the public, board and alight the vehicle with confidence and in a safe manner.
You will also ensure that any mechanical loading equipment is operated properly.
Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.33 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.
Before confirming appointment, you will require to obtain PVG Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland.
You must conduct the prescribed vehicle checks, routine maintenance, cleaning and completion of the necessary paperwork and assist with settling and securing passengers prior to commencement of journey.
Significant experience of driving and a full driving licence are essential.
You will carry out general handyperson duties.
